Dr. Carl Martin

Carl is a graduate of Clemson University where he received a degree in Political Science and played on Danny Ford's National Championship team. After a year as a graduate assistant at Clemson, he surrendered to God's will for his life. He furthered his studies by earning a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and in 1998, Carl earned the Doctor of Ministry degree in missions from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a Field Associate with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes from 1985 to 1987 in Fort Worth, Texas. From 1988 to 1993, he was on staff as the Associate Minister of Family Life at the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina. In this position his duties included Children's Ministry, Student's Ministry and recreation ministry. He then served as Pastor at Central Baptist Church, Cowpens, South Carolina from 1993 to 1996. In 1996, Carl was called to be the Senior Pastor of East Pickens Baptist Church.

Carl has been married to the former Peggi Nabors of Greenville, South Carolina for 34 years. Peggi is a graduate of Anderson College with a degree in Elementary Education. Carl and Peggi have one daughter, Lauren Rebecca.

Lisa Sulka

Lisa Sulka has called this beautiful area home for 27 years. Born and raised in Prosperity, South Carolina, a small southern town just outside of Columbia, she finished her higher education at Clemson University. After college, Lisa moved to Hilton Head and started her own business which she owned for 15 years. This business venture led to her relationship with Hampton Hall, where she was part of the original sales team. Lisa has been a top producer for Hampton Hall and Hampton Pointe and continues this success on the general brokerage side with Carson Realty, being named Top Producer for 2009 and 2010.

A Bluffton resident for 17 years, she and her husband, John, enjoy spending time with their three children: Brannon, a junior at Clemson University; Haley, a sophomore at Clemson University and Michael, a junior at Bluffton High School. Favorite family outings include waterskiing, tubing, crabbing and shrimping on the beautiful, pristine May River.

Lisa is also the Mayor of Bluffton, serving her first term, and formerly a town council representative. She also serves on the advisory committee for the Bluffton Boys & Girls Club, Bluffton High Booster Club, Bluffton High School Improvement Council, IPTAY's County Chairman (Clemson University's booster club), Low Country Council of Governments, Heritage of Golf Support Committee, co-chair of the Southern Beaufort County Regional Plan Implementation Committee, member of the Beaufort Transportation Advisory Group, Town of Bluffton Affordable Housing Sub-Committee, and member of the Hilton Head Realtors Association. .

Walter Davis

Walter Davis a native of New Haven, CT and has been coaching since 1983, having obtained 27 years of coaching experience, from all levels: youth leagues, middle schools, and high schools. Walter possesses a true passion for the development of today's youth. His dedication for student athlete's achieving is the driving force behind the vision of Real Champions of the Lowcountry. Walter's philosophy focuses on a player enhancing their physical strength and endurance. Also to guide each player in improving their game performances through skill work, and develop personal leadership skills through goal setting and self-evaluation. Players who participate with Real Champions will experience the opportunity to become a higher caliber basketball player, also be equipped with the personal characteristics to help them succeed both on and off the court.
